Missions Journey: Students – Central Asia

Students will learn about Brent and Amy Dorsett, and their two children, who live in Central Asia. Brent leads humanitarian aid efforts with a non-government organization (NGO) and Amy teaches at a school. Students will learn that life can be hard in this country. The Dorsett family’s work in Central Asia is meaningful, but sometimes they face difficult days. They look to Scripture to find encouragement and times of refreshment. In this video, students will be introduced to the passages of Scripture that each Dorsett family member finds to be encouraging. Students will learn how Jeremiah 17:7–8 provided much needed encouragement to Amy Dorsett during a particularly difficult time of discouragement. Students will be challenged to look to and cling to Scripture during discouraging times in their own lives.
